Audience of One

I did say that if I had time to write something I would. I have not actually had much time on my hands, and exams are looming in the distance, but here I am, at 2 in the morning. I guess the cleaned and rearranged room has inspired me, and I am awake, so why not? Either way, staring out of an apartment window down to the cityscape and the lights alone is probably enough incentive to make anyone want to write anything at all.

I have recently been more inspired to write more expressively, which generally means it comes out in poetry, and I haven't had the energy to throw together any prose, so I spout poetry. You can check out some of that stuff out on Dear Life, a lot of the other material will not be posted, but if you want to read it, feel free to ask. Again, the tradition of an audience of one is extraordinarily overwhelming. I have little or no news on Taya, other than to say that it has not yet been continued, but not to fear, in time it shall be completed.

I really don't have much more to say, I am tired, it is late and I am speaking to, well, myself, which is wonderful granted, but I catch myself rambling. So without further adieu, I wish thee a good night.

Cheers!

A Short Ramble

As it turns out, most of my day today will be spent by waiting for my knees to heal, so I thought the next logical thing to do was write something. I found it quite intriguing how childish Taya turned out to be, but at the time the story and the characters seemed so grown up, not only in years but in readership. So in essence Taya is young adult fiction, and part of a tradition that I have wanted to be a part of for quite sometime.

So I felt like rambling on about whatever came to mind, but my mind mostly ends up thinking about the writing process and what is going to happen next in regards to Taya. Unfortunately I cannot reveal what happens next because I don't want to be a spoiler. In other news, thought I don't know how new this is, we will be rewriting/reworking/editingthecrapof the first few chapters and possibly later chapters as well. We realized that our writing style began to develop and improve upon time, meaning that the beginning was significantly worse than the end. This will be changed, not to worry.

Don't all comment at once, my favourite audience. The cliche roar of silence is too overwhelming for me to concentrate. Maybe I'll post again soon, we shall see.

Peace in Peeps,

A Desolated Waste Land

I found it to be almost ironic how the last two posts in this sad looking blog were about keeping the blog alive, and then it was a desolate wasteland of zero posts. Most of that of course is due to the fact that us writers are swamped with our studies as we strive to become more educated and better writers, which indeed is happening.

So I have come to remind you all, you all being probably one, maybe two people who actually care; we appreciate you ever so much. I am reminding you that we are not finished our projects, our 'mission' one might say to complete the saga of Taya the Warrior Princess. Our mission is to finish the writing following the end of exams mid April and then get the final product out for all. Following this, the material of the actually blog the warrior princess shall be terminated. Sad but true.

I know for a fact that Hayley, Grace and Myself shall further pursue artistic merit and publication-in whatever form it presents itself. Hayley has been working on several projects both solo and with friends, Grace and I have a series of short stories, children stories and eventually a novel planned. At some point, when I have built up a large enough repertoire, I plan on compiling several of my own experimental short stories that I have continued to work on in my spare time.

Anywho, now that I feel successful in informing a non-existent audience I can be at ease. Keep it real peeps, peace in.

Your friendly neighbourhood writer,
~B
